When I first moved to Toronto in the late 90’s I was tired of waitressing and finding myself too exhausted at the end of the day to do art. I decided to try an experiment. I spent one week putting all of my time and energy that I would have as a waitress into my art. By the end of the week I hit the streets of Toronto with a stack of paintings on paper to see if I could sell my art. I sold over five paintings that first day! I had great success with this experiment and felt empowered to continue on this path. Many of these painting sales led me to the commissions you see here.
